Will JoePa get his 400th victory this year

Penn States humbling loss to Illinois thus past weekend has left Joe Paterno stuck on 397 victories and wondering when the next victory will come from.

With a bye week this weekend, Penn State‘s remaining schedule looks like this:

Oct. 23: Minnesota v Penn State
Oct. 30: Penn State v Michigan
Nov. 6: Penn State v Northwestern
Nov. 13: Ohio State v Penn State
Nov. 20: Indiana v Penn State
Nov. 27: Penn State v Michigan State

Based on current form, Penn State will be underdogs in its three remaining home games; Michigan State, one of two unbeaten teams left in the Big Ten, along with Northwestern and Michigan, who suffered their first losses Saturday.

Throw in a road trip in early November to current No. 1 Ohio State, and it means the Lions will have to beat at least one of those four teams simply to become bowl eligible.

If Penn State manages to beat Minnesota and Indiana, no gimmies considering how Penn State have played on the road this season, then the real possibility exists that Joe Paterno will end the season with 399 career victories. The big question then is whether JoePa will return for one final season in order to get to 400 victories or whether he will finally retire.

Do you think that Paterno will get to 400 victories this season?
